Apple offers FREE Classes

Are you a business owner and have an Apple product? If so, you will love this! I just found out the most amazing and coolest thing ever. Well, get this… I was at the Boca Town Center Mall, in Boca Raton purchasing a new cord for my laptop (left mine in Tallahassee)… what else is new…right? As I headed my credit card to one of the “Apple Genius'” I asked her about ways to make my website better and if the store offered classes and how much it would cost me.

Not only was the girl suuuper sweet like sugar, she went over and beyond getting me the info.  To my knowledge, she had informed me Apple offers FREE workshop classes to all business owners. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I thought those classes were a pretty steep price.  So I didn’t ever bother asking.  Wish I did ask when I purchased my Macbook pro in 2013. I would have gained so much insight from attending those classes. Oh well, better late than never I always say. It’s a good motto to live by.

I was very eager to learn. The minute I got home I logged on to www.apple.com/today to sign up for classes.  Apple’s site to register for the classes makes it fairly simple and user-friendly which is nice for those who aren’t the most tech-savvy, like myself. lol haha.

The 2 workshops I attended:

  • 11:30-1pm Studio hours (Brickell Miami) This class you are able to bring a project you are currently working on and the instructor will help you every step of the way.  Definitely worth it and worth the 1-hour drive…. especially when it’s free. Knowledge is power.  3 students total.  Practically a private lesson.
  • 4:00-5pm How to Grow you Business (Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale)  In this class I learned different Appl applications used on a Mac and on an Ipad and how to incorporate them into the business world. approx 7 students total.

Just found out, you can attend as many workshops as you wish anywhere in the country! There was a woman I met at the Apple store in Brickell.  She enjoys the classes so much that she comes every single day from open to close.

Since now I know I can attend as many classes as I like, I’m going to take advantage of it while I’m here in town.  I’ll be going every day from open to close. Heck, I’ll even pack myself a healthy lunch too!

Unfortunately when I get back home to Tallahassee, the closest Apple store is approximately 2.5 hours away, (Jacksonville, FL)!  I was thinking perhaps though I may look into doing the Jacksonville Wednesday farmer’s market. That way it would be really beneficial.
